For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved nature, animals, and creating art. Those loves took a back seat during my 30 year career as a substance abuse/mental health counselor.
Now, I’m semi-retired, puttering around my backyard full of trees, hanging out with the dogs, and returning to my my creative roots with art and writing. And what am a I writing about besides all of the above? Well, how’s this for a story? My high school sweetheart found me again 39 years later when the time was perfect. My memoir, Trust the Timing, offers comfort and hope to those struggling with loneliness, co-dependency, and other relationship issues. Feel free to read more about the book on my Work in Progress page.
My story confirms what my father told me when I was 12 years old:
“Nothing is Impossible,”
I prefer to state things positively, so Anything Is Possible is the name of this blog.
When we open our eyes and our hearts, we discover that God and the universe really are conspiring for us to be happy. When we think and speak positively about our hopes and dreams and express gratitude for the good things we already have in our lives, we receive our hearts’ desires…..or something even better! I’m still learning to be happy, still getting reminders to have faith. But now I know that anything is possible!
Before I was ready to meet my soulmate again, I had to learn to love myself back to wholeness. That’s the theme of my second blog: “Loving Me, Too” at:
Part of loving me, too, is making both of these blogs Award Free. I appreciate comments and love the support in our blogging community, but participating in awards is beyond the time I have available right now. But please feel free to share your thoughts!
PS. Yeah, my real name is JoAnne, but I like “JoAnna” better.
